Redoubt Mountain Lodge is located 20 river miles from the Cook Inlet & is accessible only by float aircraft or helicopter. The inlet & outlet rivers boast incredible fishing; including fantastic runs of Sockeye & Coho (Silver) salmon. King salmon & Pinks are also available. Lake Trout, Dolly Varden & Arctic Char are available throughout the season. In addition, fly-outs can take you to some of the best King Salmon and Rainbow Trout fishing in the state.
Sockeye Salmon
Enjoy constant action while you fill your limit. These delicious fish arrive around the 4th of July & remain through the end of July. Be amazed as you watch these beautiful fish porpoise only a few feet away!
Coho (Silver) Salmon
The most acrobatic of the salmon species, Silvers will stun you with their aerial displays & strength. August 17th is typically the day that guests begin finding their limit. A very aggressive fish, you can delight in catching them on both spinning & fly rods.
King Salmon
The biggest of all salmon, hook up with one of these & understand the meaning of king. These Alaskan fish tip the scales at 20-80lbs!

Lake Trout / Dolly Varden / Arctic Char
These gorgeous fish are in abundance throughout the season. They provide anglers with tales that begin “I was catching a fish with every cast.” Redoubt Mtn. Lodge holds a Trout catch & release policy that has nourished a plentiful fishery. Beginning late July & continuing through August, it is common to catch these trout weighing 5-10 lbs.
Whether you elect to fish the 2 mile lake fork of the Crescent River, troll the lake, go fishing off the beach, jet boat the inlet rivers or fly-out, a diverse fishery awaits the angler each day.
You are accompanied each day by expert fishing guides who are coast guard-licensed and knowledgeable in all angling and fishing techniques. We provide top of the line fishing rods, reels, tackle and hip boots.
